Project Overview

Modern Pest Services needed a cohesive, high-impact visual system to promote multiple services across print and digital channels while maintaining trust, clarity, and brand consistency. The goal was to communicate professionalism and expertise while making complex service offerings easy to understand for homeowners and commercial clients.

I led the design of a comprehensive marketing suite spanning direct mail, large-format print, billboards, and digital ads, ensuring visual continuity and strong call-to-action across all touchpoints.

The Challenge

Pest control marketing faces three key challenges:

  1. High competition with visually noisy, low-quality ads

  2. Customer hesitation due to trust and safety concerns

  3. Complex service offerings that can overwhelm or confuse customers

Modern Pest Services needed marketing that:

  • Felt professional, clean, and trustworthy

  • Clearly communicated multiple services without clutter

  • Worked consistently across vastly different formats and sizes


Strategy & Design Approach

I developed a modular visual system that allowed messaging to scale across formats while maintaining brand integrity.

Key strategic decisions included:

  • Using clean architectural imagery and lifestyle photography to reinforce trust and professionalism

  • Designing bold typographic hierarchy for instant readability (especially for billboards and mailers)

  • Highlighting offers and service bundles with high-contrast callouts

  • Creating repeatable layouts that could be adapted for seasonal campaigns and different services

The result was a flexible design system that balanced urgency with credibility.


Design Execution

I designed a wide range of marketing materials, including:

Direct mail flyers promoting bundled home and yard protection services

Large-format print ads featuring service technicians to humanize the brand

Billboards with bold, minimal messaging designed for high-speed visibility

Digital ads supporting SMART pest technology and 24/7 monitoring

Service-specific graphics for residential and commercial offerings

Each piece was designed to stand alone while clearly belonging to the same brand ecosystem.


Results & Impact

  • Established a consistent visual language across all marketing channels
